Warts are benign (non-cancerous) skin growths
that take place on the sole (plantar surface), heel, or ball of
the foot. It is mainly caused by
the human
papilloma virus (HPV).
Plantar wart is one of the
numerous types of warts. A plantar wart generally grows on
the feet but it can infect other parts of the body as
well.
Plantar
warts can cause severe pain on the bottom of the
foot. Sufferers often feel a stone like lump on the bottom
of the foot when standing or walking. The most common form of
plantar warts treatment is by freezing
the plantar wart. While freezing warts as a form of treatment
on other areas of your body can be painful and possibly
scarring, it hurts much less and less noticeable too freeze a
plantar wart because of its location.

themselves after some time, but you should seek treatment if
they become too painful and its hard to
walk.
The wart virus can be acquired in warm moist
environments like public showers and pools. A plantar
wart should be covered to avoid the
contamination of shower and bathroom floors.
