Plantar Wart
Plantar
warts are
noncancerous skin growths on the soles of your feet
caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), which enters
your body through tiny cuts and breaks in your skin.
Warts are one of numerous soft tissue conditions of the
foot that can be rather painful. Plantar warts appear on
the soles of the feet, are often thick and coarse, grow
inward, and can be rather painful and
bothersome.
They can develop
anyplace on the skin, but technically only those on the
sole are correctly called plantar warts. Most plantar
warts aren't a major health concern to people, but they
may be bothersome or very painful, and they can be
defiant to therapy. You may require to see your physician
to remove plantar warts.
Plantar warts are
common to all ages groups, appearing frequently in
children between the ages of 12-16. Plantar warts are
awkward to remedy because of the weight placed on the
feet.
These type of warts are also very
resistant to treatment. The warts may be prevented by
practicing good foot care. Plantar warts commonly go away
on their own, but most people would rather treat them
than wait for them to fade on their
own.
