Types Of Warts 

 

 

 

Types of Warts Include:

* Common warts ( Verruca vulgaris): a raised wart with roughened surface usually appear on the hands, but can appear anywhere.
* Flat warts (Verruca plana): a small, smooth flattened wart, tan or flesh coloured, which can occur in large numbers, are generally found on the face and forehead. They are common in children, less so in teens,and rare in adults.
* Genital warts (venereal wart, Condyloma acuminatum, Verruca acuminata):are usually found on the genitals, in the pubic area, and the area between the thighs, but can appear inside the vagina and anal canal.
* Plantar warts (verruca, Verruca pedis): a hard sometimes painful lump, often with multiple black specks in the center, are found on the soles of the feet.
* Subungual and periungual warts appear under and around the fingernails or toenails

*  mosaic wart: a group of tightly clustered plantar-type warts, commonly on the hands or soles of the feet

*  filiform or digitate wart: a thread- or finger-like wart, most common on the face, especially near the eyelids and lips
